The donation was announced after the NSW Government reviewed its food disposal strategy.
The review found up 80 per.cent of the food produced in Australia was not eaten by the nation’s 1.1 billion people.
Key items donated to NSW Food Waste Strategy:Grills, barbecue grille, a fridge, a range of meats, and a range the company says has a range from 200kgs to a millionkgs.
The company also wants to buy equipment to donate to the Queensland Food and Food Waste Management Agency.
Key facts:The Queensland Government is looking to get rid of up to 1 million tonnes, including up to 200,000 tonnes of vegetables and fruit each yearThe company says the equipment is donated through a voluntary donation program in conjunction with the Queensland Government.
