Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple Filler List (OFFICIAL)
We all go through sad incidents in life. Some of us lose our loved ones while some of us face bullying. These things teach you the way of life and also develop your character. Just like that, anime was created to portray emotions that a normal human being couldn’t. In such a way, anime supports us.
Our MC went through the same sad incident. He was bullied badly when he was just 15 years old. Kenichi is a fragile 15-year-old who befriends a newly transferred student named Miu Furinji to gain strength morally and physically!
This is the story of delinquents and their victims. So, if you’re a big fan of Tokyo Revengers and other such delinquent-ish anime, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple might be your next favorite pick! Before starting any anime, it’s better to look out for fillers. So, let’s find out if there are any fillers in this anime!

Plot
The story of this anime revolves around Kenichi who’s an average 15 year old teenager who’s going through a lot of bullying. He’s been bullied for a long time. When the story begins, we see him befriending a newly transferred student named Miu Furingi to teach him a thing or two. He basically aims to become stronger than he is right now.
He follows Miu to the dojo made by her one and only grandfather named Hayato Furingi. The name of the dojo is Ryozanpaku. Miu teaches him the basics and just like that, Kenichi takes down a high-ranking member of his karate club at school. While his official goal was to protect himself from bullying yet he trains himself properly and side-by-side, he develops feelings for Miu.
When we talk about his daily routine, it consists of his training with six masters and he also fights against a gang named Ragnarok. Sounds pretty intimidating, right? Anyways, this was the gang that bothered him the most. He decided to teach them a lesson now that he’s stronger.
Ragnarok decides to disband for some reason, and Miu and Kenichi become the target of another group called The Yomi Group. It is also a dojo that is the complete opposite of Ryozanpaku and is called its rival. While the concept at Ryozanpaku is to spare their rivals’ life, the concept of The Yomi Group is the opposite. They go all-in when it comes to combat. So, this group can be called dangerous.
Not knowing what to do, Miu and Kenichi just try their best to defeat them and their masters. Then they encounter Yami. There’s a final battle that will decide everyone’s future and might as well stop Yami’s goal of creating next-level chaos in the whole world a.k.a. “The Eternal Sunset”.
Well, these leaders are defeated by the Ryozanpaku and as a result, their dojos disband. Our MC keeps training under Ryozanpaku and after years, he becomes the most famous novelist!
In fact, he becomes more powerful than Miu’s grandfather who asked that Miu will marry whoever’s capable of defeating him first. So, things go pretty well for our MC later.
Doesn’t the story sound really nice? I think the plot is interesting and it really reminds me of this series called “The Cobra Kai”. They also have two dojos who teach different things. Cobra Kai taught extreme offense while the other dojo taught extreme defense. Well, that’s only my two cents. But if you liked the story of Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, start watching it!
Main Characters
We’re going to talk about some of the main characters introduced in Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple. So that you guys will get to know the story and the personality of the characters in a better way! So let’s dig into some information!
Kenichi Shirahama
Kenichi Shirahama is our main male protagonist. He was the victim of bullying until Miu came and introduced him to her grandfather’s Dojo called “Ryozanpaku”. He’s one of the strongest martial artists in the anime now. He took down his very first enemy in the karate club at his school. He was pretty proud of it as well.
Let’s talk about his appearance. He has an average height with brown spiky hair. He’s mostly wearing his long-sleeved school uniform and a Yin Yang badge he got from Miu when he was younger. Anyways, he fell in love with Miu after meeting her again. So, their wholesome scenes are also included in the anime!
When it comes to his personality, he’s good-natured. Before he learned to defend himself, he easily lost hope and got beaten by everyone. But learning self-defense improved his character big time.
Kenichi became a lot more confident and started stepping up for himself and others like him. So, I would say that his character development is 10/10. If you want to find out more about Kenichi, watch Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.
For his abilities, I would say, they are very versatile. Since he had a lot of masters and they taught him a lot of things, it means that he possesses various types of skills. For instance, he’s a Kenpo user.
It is a skill used by the Chinese that enhances their inner strength through different methods of Tai Chi and Kung Fu. I’m pretty sure you guys have heard of these terms, right? These terms are quite popular and useful. If you’re a huge fan of Kung Fu or Martial Arts, you will love him and this anime as well!
Miu Furinji
Miu Furinji is our main female protagonist. She’s the childhood friend of Kenichi as well as his love interest. She introduced him to her grandfather’s dojo and that’s how Kenichi got where he is today. She is a romanticist and is very energetic. She doesn’t back down from challenges and faces them directly. This proves her bravery, the fact that she’s behind the character development of our MC is just so amusing.
Imagine being a girl and being like Miu. She’s definitely the woman of your dreams. I would say Kenichi is lucky to have her by her side. Not everyone has such supportive friends or lovers. She’s been with Kenichi through thick and thin. When it comes to her romantic feelings for Kenichi, she tends to get shy.
Just as her grandfather taught her, she’s got immense strength and endurance along with other abilities like Dou Ki. It’s a very powerful aura. If you see that aura you’re gonna get scared and will probably run away from Miu.
Dou Ki has a strong hold over her emotions. For instance, when Sho Kano tried to attack her best friend, her brain just went BZZZZZZ! By that I mean, BERSERK! That’s when she went all-in for the fight! So, when she uses Dou Ki, she can lose control over her brain which might be useful at times but can backfire.
Hayato Furinji
We are aware of the concept of “overpowered” grandfathers, right? Hayato Furinji is the overpowered grandfather in Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple. He owns the dojo called “Ryozanpaku” . The name of his dojo is so addictive and now I can’t stop saying it.
Anyways, he’s a martial artist who trained Miu as well as Kenichi. He wants to marry off Miu to someone who can defeat him. Hayato has raised Miu ever since her mother found her in the snow. Hayato is very sensitive when it comes to Miu and if someone tries to harm her, he would definitely kick them. This proves that he has a soft spot for Miu.
His martial arts abilities are second to none. We can say that he’s one of the most powerful characters in the series. He’s also known as a master healer. Yes, that’s right, he can heal anyone that has been brutally hurt.
Along with his healing ability, he has immense strength in him which is quite useful in combat. This old “gigi” can easily knock out a person with his powerful punches and kicks. In fact, his immense endurance makes him stand out from the rest of the characters in the anime.
Conclusion
Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple has only two filler episodes. If you guys want to watch it without fillers you can start it now! If you’re into the concept of Martial Arts, Chinese Kung Fu, Taichi, and whatnot! You’re going to find all of these in this anime. So, I’m sure you’re going to love it!
